French Level 2 Class

Welcome to our class.

You are well on your way to the fun of speaking a foreign language. When you meet French-speaking people and can speak to them in their language, you will feel proud of your accomplishment. Level 2 continues moving forward from the previous levels in listening, speaking, reading, and writing the French language. We will work in French as much as possible so that you develop your speaking and comprehension skills. Get in the habit of participating mentally even when you are not the one talking. Listen to what your classmates say and, if appropriate, try asking them questions. Active mental involvement at all times will help you succeed. Speak French with your friends and with me as soon as you come into the classroom.

Additional tips for doing well in French : Refer to the Study Guides on the main web-page.

These pages will provide you with the information you need to learn, enjoy and hopefully get further involved with the French language and cultures. Please go to your announcements page to get the class agenda, homework and other class related information. The assignments page will keep you up-to-date with the current projects, quiz & test schedule, their content, the expectations and the way you will be assessed. The SOL page from the main web-page will help you further prepare for any assignments and master the curriculum.

Finally, by going back to the main page (Accueil) under Helpful Links, you and your family can check out what's going on in the local French community. Remember, practice is the key to successfully learning a foreign language, so these events are great opportunities to gain more confidence and mastery.
